Het Zwin
Het Zwin is a unique nature reserve near Retranchement, close to the Belgian border, a place where many bird species congregate. Visitors can walk the network of trails and take part in guided excursions to learn more about the fauna and flora. Kids can explore the surrounding by means of a cabin trail and a barefoot trail. This nature reserve on its own is a good enough reason for visiting Zeeland-Flanders.
Groede Brewery Tap
One activity we can highly recommend in Zeeland-Flanders is a visit to Brouwerslokaal, a brewery tap in the village of Groede. With its in-house craft beers, this independent micro-brewery offers a unique experience. There are thirty taps and an 11-metre-long bar where you can enjoy these quality beers, each with their own unique taste.
Brouwerslokaal serves mainly draught-pulled beers and regularly organises tap takeovers with other local breweries. On Mondays and Tuesdays, guided visits are organised where you can watch the brewing process for its craft beers at first hand. There is also a take-away option so that you can enjoy the beers at home!

You can enjoy a day out with family and friends paddleboarding in Zeeland’s waters. You can try out the stand-up technique on a quite canal near Cadzand first, where the chances of you falling into the water are small.

Fortress Hulst
Come and discover Hulst, the most Flemish town in the Netherlands! Its attractions include the Willibrordus Basilica, which includes a climb to the top of its tower for a marvellous view, and its historic town walls. For the more adventurous amongst you: why not try the ‘muddy boots excursion’ through the Verdronken Land van Saeftinghe nature reserve which is close to the town. End the day with some epicurean delights at one of the many cafés and eateries in the charming town-centre of Hulst.
