This unique restaurant is located on the shores of the Oosterschelde estuary and is renowned for its innovative and highly sustainable methods of aquaculture whereby fish is cultivated using water coming directly from the Oosterschelde. The entire process - from cultivation to plate - takes place in just one single location. From the outdoor seating area you can look out over the oyster and mussel beds where these shellfish have been cultivated. The food on your plate couldn’t be any fresher!

Between Cadzand and Knokke is Zilt & Zout. The restaurant is situated amongst the dunes, close to the nature reserve of Het Zwin. The menu features an extensive selection of North Sea fish and shellfish. Definitely worth a visit, even if it’s just to experience the surroundings!
Strandpaviljoen 19 is located in Nieuwvliet on one of Zeeland’s finest beaches. It’s an absolute favourite for those who wish to combine the ultimate holiday experience with the best seafood fare. Order, for example, a delicious platter of seafood or an exquisitely prepared lemon sole, whilst you gaze at the never-ending horizon with the sand under your feet. Music to your ears? We bet!
Oysters and Yerseke
Yerseke, the oyster capital of the Netherlands, is home of De Oesterij. De Oesterij serves up oysters and other shellfish harvested directly from the Oosterschelde. The restaurant itself is situated amidst the oyster beds, giving diners a unique experience. Guided tours can be arranged where you can learn all about oyster farming.
